Why this template
Most "modern resume template" results online are one of two things: Word documents with colored sidebars that break when opened in a different version of Office, or Canva exports with embedded images that ATS engines can't read. Both look fine on the designer's screen and fail the instant they hit a real hiring pipeline.
The Modern template on onepage.bio skips the tricks. It uses Helvetica (a PDF-native font; no web-font download needed) at a readable 10pt, with an accent color you pick for your name and section titles. That accent is the entire "modern" differentiation — it signals care and gives the page visual rhythm without adding a single element the ATS can't parse.
Structure follows the reverse-chronological standard: name → contact → summary → experience → projects → education → skills → extras. That order isn't aesthetic; it's what recruiters and ATS systems expect, and deviating from it costs you interviews. Our live preview pane flags the second you're overflowing one page so you can tighten before exporting.
